Hello all, what I have here is a completely disassembled, but completely complete, 1976 Ironhead Sportster chop/bob. I bought it about a month and a half ago, but I'm moving back to New York and need to get rid of it. I bought it off of a man who had ridd
en the bike two years before. I was skeptical (see it to believe it), but he showed me videos on his computer of the same bike up and riding. So, I've never seen it run, but chances are it'll just take top end adjustment (or optimally rebuild), new brake shoes, fluids, etc. to get this beast on the road. The reason why the price is so high for a non-running bike is because of all of the amazing features that conspire to make it the perfect vintage Harley chop/bob build. First of all, like I said, I was preparing to build this bike, so absolutely everything (save a new front tire, though the old Avon Speedmaster is righteously cool) needed for the build is included. In addition to a complete motorcycle, the new owner will take away a $40 Do-It-Yourself Ironhead Tune and Service instructional dvd and a cd copy of the factory service manual, not to mention a complete engine James gasket kit ($110) and an eighty dollar five-gallon bucket of Evapo-Rust (which slices through rust like butter and is reusable). I also purchased a new fifty dollar air cleaner for the bike's S.U carburetor (a common performance upgrade for sportys) and a rebuild kit for the carb. S.U. carb aside, this bike is a smorgasbord of choice bits. The frame is an original Paughco rigid. The bike comes with two seats. One is a vintage solo+pillion set-up and the other is a brand new $250 sprung solo seat from Redtail Leather. The wheels and tyres are also premium old school. 21" front and 16" rear with brake drum, both sporting vintage avon tyres. A nineteen inch wheel and a brand new 16" whitewall Dunlop for Harley Davidson tire will also be included. The bike has showa 35mm forks (skiiiinnnnyyy) and a magneto/generator set-up. Kirk start only (though parts for an electronic ignition will be included). There are three sets of bars. Vintage chrome chumps, a brand new $100 set of Biltwell Keystones, and a brand new in the box and wrapping narrow drag bar (24.5" across). The two fuel tanks included with the bike are also premium chop/bob. The first is a real vintage Wassell Peanut tank in black and the second is a narrow frisco-mount Sportster tank in Candy Apple Red taken off of a 70s triumph chop. Original sissy bar/rear fender mount and new hand crafted bar/mount will be included (the new one needs the fender mount to be welded to the sissy bar, a simple operation). There are two sets of exhaust pipes, the stock pipes and a set of muffler-less drag pipes to crank that iron through an expressway to yer skull! Three fenders will be included. Also, the bike has a pink slip and liscence plate and, though it is not currently registered, is DMV ready. I will provide a bill of sale. I have a ton of photos. Email if you're interested.
